Pyari Foundation-India Trust - PFIT
Pyari Foundation India ("PFIT") is the Indian partner of Pyari Onlus. It has been founded in July 2007, its head office is in Balarampur, Purulia District, West Bengal and it manages the day-to-day activities in India of Pyari project. Its founding partners and representatives carry out social and health-related work in the District since many years, and enjoy the community and local government bodies' greatest appreciation and trust. They have a deep knowledge of the real needs of the society in which they live, as well as of the little girls and women they help and support. The PFIT Board is constituted by people who, according to their different abilities and activities, give their contribution to the accomplishment of the Pyari project, working in co-operation with the government, state and district Indian authorities.

Sudhakar Bandyopadhyay,
Chairman and Managing Trustee of PFIT
Sudhakar is Secretary General for the German Leprosy Relief Association East India and for Swiss-Emmaus Leprosy Relief Work. He has an M.A in Social Sciences and LL.B Post graduate Diploma in Health Education from the University of Kolkata as well as a Diploma in Mass communication and Journalism.
