Pyari in hindi means "the loved one". Pyari Onlus is a no profit organisation established in Milan in 2007. Pyari's mission is to work in the Indian territory through local Ngo which have an in-depth understanding of the area in which we intervene, West Bengal, North East India.
North East Bengal, is a key transit point for infant trafficking, child abuse and child sale, for the purpose of sexual exploitation and slavery.
Pyari's aim is to realize a sustainable social project in the aid of street children by offering them a Protection Program and Shelter Home where all basic survival needs are provided for: health assistance, food, clothing, education and the possibility of learning a job. We offer them the opportunity of being reintegrated in the society for a better future notwithstanding what caste or religious group they belong to.
Street children are a dramatic reality in many of the Indian big towns and especially in Kolkata.
