Pyari in hindi means "the loved one". Pyari Onlus is a no profit organisation established in Milan in 2007. Pyari's mission is to work in the Indian territory through local Ngo which have an in-depth understanding of the area in which we intervene, West Bengal, North East India.
North East Bengal, is a key transit point for infant trafficking, child abuse and child sale, for the purpose of sexual exploitation and slavery.
Pyari's aim is to realize a sustainable social project in the aid of street children by offering them a Protection Program and Shelter Home where all basic survival needs are provided for: health assistance, food, clothing, education and the possibility of learning a job. We offer them the opportunity of being reintegrated in the society for a better future notwithstanding what caste or religious group they belong to.

Emanuela Plano,
president of Pyari Onlus, vice president Pyari Foudation India.
From her travels and research on Indian culture, her place of origin, Emanuela developed a strong desire to actively assist the most disadvantaged women and girls. From 2002 she collaborates with Ghandi Memorial Leprosy Foundation of Kolkata - a program for integration and care of people affected by leprosy in rural areas of Bengal. In 2007 she published the book 'Pyari, ritorno a casa' Proedi Editore. She holds a degree in Literature from Universita' degli Studi of Milan and is currently attending a course on Linguistic and Cultural Mediation.
Francesco Silva,
counsellor of Pyari Onlus.
Prof. Francesco Silva, Chair of Applied Economics at Università di Milano-Bicocca, focuses his academic work on economic development and markets and companies organization. Prof. Silva is Chariman of Econometica, a national research centre for the social responsibility of companies. He also manages the magazine Consumatori, Diritti e Mercato. He served as Chairman of Acquirente Unico, a Government-owned entity established for the protection of the small users of electric power and as Dean of Universita LUIC, Castellanza. Prof. Silva contributed several micro-projects for the economic and social development in Latin America.
Mariolina Longoni,
Pyari Onlus’ s Public Relations.
Mariolina lives in Milan and works in the tourism industry. After a master in tourism, she spent more than 10 years working as product managers with leading tour operators, focussing on Far East and India.
Maria Trucco,
Counsellor of Pyari Onlus for project development.
Maria has a long standing experience in voluntary activities. She has been co-operating with the Marcello Candia Foundation, following the development of an agricultural school in the Brazilian Nord Est Region, as well as several projects sponsored by the Insitor Fund, working in Laos and Cambodia. She is an active member of the Abio Foundation for which she is volunteering on a regular basis as a nurse assistant in hospital in Milan. Maria graduated Magna cum laude in Agricultural Science from the University of Bologna.
Franco Gardella,
Counsellor of Pyari Onlus for strategy.
Currently a partner with Osculati &Partners, a financial advisory boutique focused on small and medium sized companies, Franco has a consolidated expertise in feasibility and sustainability studies for investments.
He started his professional career at Morgan Stanley, where he worked for 10 years in the areas of investment banking, corporate finance and real estate advisory, both in Italy and abroad. From 2000 to 2006, he was responsible for the Italian activities of Orion Capital Managers, a real estate investment management company which raised several European Investment Funds.
Franco has an Economic Degree from the University of Genoa and a Master in Business Administration from the Wharton Business School.
